    Dylanesque

If you're a fan of Bryan Ferry and Bob Dylan.

Bought this great album the other day, Dylanesque. It's Bryan covering some great Bob songs, and it's extremely nice. Bryan does marvelous justice to Bob's harmonica style and the credits read like a who's who of the best. Highly recommended. Definitley not MOR.

Doubt it; they're too wise for that old ploy aren't they? If they are on that album (which I have yet to hear) then I doubt that the spirit and intensity are there.

    I could be wrong tho'.

Actually guys, there are several Roxy Music members playing on this album, including Brian Eno, Colin Good, and Paul Carrack. Several more as well, and interestingly enough, Robin Trower guests on one track. As RM had quite a number of lineup changes over the years, it seems that quite a few ex-members have helped out on Dylanesque.

The thing I love about veterans (in any field) is that over the years the virtuosity just grows and grows, and this album displays that exquisitely.

Thanks for the insight, might go grab a copy. Trower rocks in my books and is an under-publicized blues man.

You're welcome peasea, I don't think you'll be dissapointed. Here's a link to some reviews, but with any review, it's entirely up to the personal preference of the reviewer.

This album works for me, some tracks more than others, but ain't that usually the case?

Trower does some nice work on All Along The Watchtower. Wish it were more!
