Geeze boy you are such a pessimist..............maybe you talk from personal experience and I am sorry for that, however, no health system is gonna help everyone.....like the Police cannot etc but some cancers are potentially avoidable.....smoking, skin cancer etc and if less people smoked and did not slap on would this reduce the queues you are referring too? I know it's another debate in itself..........

Yes they can........and consider that cancer is in some cases self inflicted....smokers being a prime example..........which does not help the Health System....

Sorry have to disagree with you on that one. From what I understand. If the taxes on tobacco and liquor, were spent on the problems they caused, the health system, would be a far greater system than we have at present. Sort of like if petrol taxes were spent on the roads etc. What do they do with all these taxes, when we pay so much and have all these problems.

That's a common misconception. The taxes collected on alcohol and cigarettes are considerably less than the costs incurred by their consumption.
