Any room for SCOOTERS on this forum?

Hi, I'm new to kiwibiker, and as the title suggests, I don't have a motorbike yet, just a scooter, so is it all good?

I'm not new to bikes though, I had a little yamaha 50cc 2 stroke dirt/pit bike when I was 8,9,10 and ridden scooters and mates bikes lots. Haven't owned anything good yet. Just got a 50cc scooter about 2 months ago for Uni. And will look at buying a bike when I get my full, in 18 months ...

I have started the Auckland Uni Motorbike & Scooters club called MADSAM (Mad Scooters & Motorcyclists) [I]name subject to change[I], anyone Keen?!

As far as I am concerned if you are on a motorised two wheel vehicle you are a biker.

    Welcome and enjoy the site.

Dont take it too seriously all the time and enjoy yourself

    Unfortunately yes.

The kiddies who ride those today may be the ones who graduate to the grown up bikes tomorrow.

I know a few kids who have these things and want to get e "real" bike when they are old enough.

I'll accept pretty much anything except those pushbikes that got fitted with a small motor. Whoops didnt Honda start with one of those as their first post war bike?

thanks Guys I feel welcome now , cheers Mark.. etc..!

Hey Nish, well yeah about the name change, we must arrange a time to do this on MSN, Phil, you and myself, tonight some time perhaps, we will discuss the setup time for teh stand outside Gym/KEIC building, dealership appointment & the official name we will all agree upon.

My friend wants to be part of the club and be part of the committee on the AUT side. He wants to start up the AUT chapter of the club, so we can have the club joint with both Universities, but dominantly Auckland Uni.

    See how that works,

With a club name like that I'm not letting you near my motorbike again for a loooong while.

If I join your club can I have an elaborate title like "Rear Admiral" or "Captain Slaphappy"?

aww c'mon man, lemme go for 1 more blat,.. its soooo fun.

Well we just changed the name as MADSAM along with our flag of bikes & jolly rogers (skull & crossbones) didn't seem to shine the best light on biking & scootering... what with the symbols of Bikes + skulls, death & misery & being a madman on a bike, though, secretly, many of us... deep down.... are, somewhat mad, but who can tell who we are with our helmets on...!! haha

    anonymity is bliss.....

but as long as we hold up our reputation,

anyway FFS!!!, just join already, its $3-, thats basically a cheeseburger from macas add mayo, add mayo, add mayo,,.... thats it!

Welcome! Ride a two wheeeled vehicle and you SHOULD be accepted.

Just remember that should one of your scooter riders fuck up it will then be recorded that a 'motorcycle' crashed!! Just be aware eh?
