Thumbs up SCOOTER RACING, 9/10 June 2007

    Hi Everyone,

We have scooter racing at Mt Wellington Go-Kart track on the 9/10th June.
The track is on Tainui Rd, off Morrin Rd.

Saturday 9th is a practice day and the scooters also share track time with bucket racers and pocketbikes.
Cost is $20 for all day.
    AMCC members; free

Sunday 10th is RACE DAY. Points racing is on this day.

If you are interested in trying this or, maybe would like to "Have a go", then please feel free to come down. We are a friendly lot down there.
If your not too sure you want to be on the track with others, then we will close off the track to all riders and you can have a few laps by yourself.

You will need to have full safety gear. Full face helmet, leathers or padded road gear (both pants and jacket), gloves and boots, this applies for both Sat and Sun.
You will need to tape up lights, indicators etc, but we can help with that.

Spectators are welcome and there is no charge to watch.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

I reckon the track's a bit too tight and twisty for a burger, might be fun to take an angle grinder to all that plastic and try though...

I'm on baby duty Sunday morning while the missus plays tennis, so I spose I could bring the little fella down.

Continue off the mway past Sylvia Park, all the way up to end of the road. At the last set of lights (Moyes Cars should be in front of you), turn right. Contiue on that road in the left hand lane until you come to Panmure roundabout. Take the second rd on the left as you head into the roundabout, the mobil garage will be on you left. Go to the first set of lights and turn left into Morrin Rd, then approx 200mtrs turn right into Tainui Rd. The first gravel driveway on your right as you enter Tainui rd, is the driveway down to the track.
    C u there.

You'll have to join in with all the other ugly-arsed buckets, sorry.

    Who won the championship then?

Was it the mentor of scooter racing in NZ, Georz?
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.
