    New forum suggestion

I'm an aircraft pilot. One of the most important educational things for a pilot is to read accident reports. The findings about why/how they happen and prevention strategies are what keeps us alive. KBers are pilots - a lot more vulnerable than aircraft ones too - and we're seeing a lot of posts about accidents and bins (too many for sure).

We already have this wonderful Forum "Survival Skills", maybe we could add to that a sub-forum "Bins, Accidents and Bikers Down" with a plea (yeah right) for it to try to stay On Topic.

It would be great to have a single place to go to read all these things and to build our defensive knowledge from them ... just like pilots have done since the 1920's

We'll be using the WIKI for that.

Would you like to be the editor for that section and start weeding out the entries?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Not silly. with the silly laws we have here in NZ on road rules we all should have our heads banged together. I personally think that all learner motorcycle riders should have to go to a riding school first. And that applies to all driving cases. Why I say this is because what I have noticed over the years is if granddad taught you to drive, then that must be right. Unfortunately if granddad had bad habits, then chances are you will develop them also. And bad habits are hard to get rid of.

That's a brilliant idea, Grub. And I thought I was weird reading all the accident reports I could get my hands on. I would be happy to help edit them, If you'll have me. It would be good if some of the really esteemed and experienced riders on here /that ain't me/ could also write some kind of conclusion and recommendations at the end of each report.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
