No, it used to have a big wooden sign "Jim's Corner" for that courier that died there.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

Yeah I remember the sign, but you have no connection in any way to this then?

I also remember when there were picnic tables on that road to break out your thermos when you were driving over, but I guess these days you're likely to end up with a crash of some sort sharing your afternoon tea.
    Cheers

Transit took it all away because it "Distracted Drivers". The dead Jim's family paid for the sign and a fair few picnic tables IIRC.

The sign was there for many years without distracting anyone ... but then they decided to PC it all ... was a bummer

All that aside if the weather isn't is bad as forecast on Sunday are any still on for a 10.30 start - meet 10? Coz I'm not into early starts so wouldn't be early enough to join the crew going to the sprints.

OK you had a good ride last weekend when I went up to the 'naki coz the weather looked like this when we flew off and was still the same when we got back. Just need more of the same coz Welly is good on a nice day.

Porirua looked pretty good too - aaahhhmm where's our house? - oh there it is.

OK so what's the plan? Anyone not going to the sprints at the time when you should still be in bed with your Mrs so who will be at Rimutex at the usual time? I could be if anyone else is interested.

I'd be happy to meet at Rimutex 10 for 10.30 departure as this thread is based on, then say cruise to Martinborough perhaps via Western lake Road then go out past the golf course on the back way to Gladstone then do the hillclimb road and end up in Masterton and see how we are going from there, perhaps swing by Carterton on the way back. We could talk further about it around 10 at Rimutex if you like. I haven't done much riding for a while been away too much so got to get back into it gently to avoid wrecking the body. Just did Paekak Hill today, funny how all the parts ache first time out - wrists and the like - must be getting old eh!

We could adjust to suit your 11 year old - and that would probably be enough for me anyway.

Might see you guys there at 10am I was thinking of heading to Ngawi for shark & tatties but open to other ideas really.
Dont hang around for me as I have a house full of 11yr olds over for a kids party so I may not get much sleep tonight and might have to do that tomorrow instead.
I am hoping to get out for a ride at a reasonable time though
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
