FOR SALE: Ltd edition Triumph Daytona

A friend of a friend has a Triumph Daytona he wants to sell. One of the last of the 1200 Daytona's - limited edition bike, one of 400.

Imported from the US. Apparently, those are the genuine milage figures on the clock.

He wants about 8K.

I don't have any more details to hand, but I'll pass on any questions.

- RH fairing is AWOL. But is apprently no different from the standard Triumph Daytona fairing.
- Not VIN'd, so no WOF or Reg.

Bike is as is, where is.

As I said, this is on behalf of a friend of a friend - I have nothing to gain personally from this, so if it bcomes too much of a hassle, I'll just pull the listing.

Mate - for what it's worth - I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole unless it was registered and legal for the road here in NZ. Without that it's value is as a parts bike only. Not slagging your mate or anything but if he does not have the relevant documents - thats what it is (a parts bike) and it is certainly not worth anything like 8K.... My LIMITED experience is that its a bit of a milefield getting bikes registered here if you don't have the right documents and you didn't import it or have lost the customs doc's.

With a missing fairing and broken bits it's value as a collectable is greatly diminished as well and frankly - every maker produces a 'limited' edition to get rid of the last of a line so even those are hit and miss...

It would help more if the US history of the bike could be disclosed......dont know about the mileage as the numbers dont sit even with each other first sign of speedo tampering by a novice.........
I am in the market for a 1200 daytona but
in its present state I think 8k is on the high side

and wouldnt be prepared to pay any more than 5and a half subject to inspection

but its only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it
