    OK heres what I do....

Down in first with both brakes very lightly. The other day I found I only had front brakes at 100% and it was a little wobbly when I went just on the front brake.

Going up I sit at the bottom and line the driveway up. Rev the shit outta the bike so the cat gets out of the way. Gun it up in first slam on the rear brake to swing the bike to the left. CLOSE MY EYES and hold my breathe.

Have nearly hit the house a couple of times .......

have you thought about putting a winch at the top of the drive and installing a bike lift?

No no, not me, I'd heard about the method from some other slack arse with the same issue. I reckon just stick a kennel at the bottom of your drive that skidmark can live in and you can hand the bike to him every night when you get back?

Sure...what eba...always speaking in the third person Mr BJ....I'm sure you will be able to recommend a kennel, hey, here's an idea, you could even lend him yours!

Kennel? I need that for when my wife finds out I took some strange girl biking around the countriside for a day, better hang onto it thanks.

It'd be good if you could put as much balls into your riding as your arguing, though I'm happy to take your mind off your driveway for at least an instant (I have mentioned "harden the fuck up" right?)
