    Job search...

    Hey everyone,
My search for a full-time job has begun. This Friday I finish my year long certificate of Automotive electronics and now its time to step out and into the real world
Basically I've just turned 19, completed four and a half years of high school, a year long electronics course I have mentioned and have been working part time in a workshop since I was 14. I'm just looking to get work which will give me valuable experience and set me up eventually in the electronics side once I have the experience I need.
I am looking to work with either cars or bikes.

If anyone here could help me out, or point me in the right direction please let me know. As well as this i'm sending out as many CVs as I can and growing some balls and getting out to as many workshops as I can and seeing what they have avaliable. Anything in West/Central Auckland would be good.

    Thanks all in advance
    Garry

My list of helpful hints........(proven workable by my kids)

    Do not mail CV's.

Yellow pages; this is a list of potential employers and go and visit them.

Door knockers will get jobs as you are showing the employer your prepared to get off your arse and find something.

Don't plead for a job, ask what the company can offer you as well as what you can offer them.

After the first 20 turn downs, have a good cry / scream/ whatever and get back at it.

Be prepared to take any job as a start point, once you are working it is easier to know where to go from there.

    Get on with it today.

There you go, if you want a daily rev up I can provide that too!

    Yeah that'd be a big help I think..haha
I've been in and spoken to a number of garages, have handed in a number of CVs personally to a couple also. Everyone in the industry seems to be alright, havn't come across any *unts yet which is good.

Just keep looking I suppose Have still got a part time job which can also offer me some fulltime work if they're busy to keep the bike fueled up
