I'm gutted. My only consolation was it was under 20 lb.Ive spent years after fish like this and never come close.Smoked would have been perfect, but a proper cold smoke not a hot.Still ,someone must have taught him to fish...

the first time we went fishing on our new boat at the head of Otago harbour one of my 10 yo twin sons caught a huge barracuda (yuck) and wound it in to the boat but was struggling to get it out of the water so i gave him a hand as we were lifting it out a seal came up from under the boat, took the fish gave us a huge fright, (i thought it was a dog and almost jumped overboard) he was pretty upset as it was his first fish but i told him that not everybody has a fishing story like that....found out later that seal gets lots of fish that way including salmon
