VTR250 was 7,000 rpm at 100kph.
The Ducati does 7,000 rpm at 100kph...but that's in 3rd gear....arrrg - logged in as the missus again - sorry. This was written badly by McJim.

The old CX500 does just on 5500 @ 100 km/h in 5th. Redlines at 10,000.
7K @100 or thereabouts in 5th
Although my magnetic L plate pulls the bike backwards towards police cars and restricts my speed to 70kph

I once calculated that the piston speed of a 1200 Sportster is almost the same as that of an ultra-short stroke ZXR250 @ 100km/h
Katana does just over 10thou at 100km/h in 6th.
Does any one know if this is normal?Seems pretty high to me.
At least I don't need to change down to pass.
tacho reads about 8000 at 100km/hr...redline is "19,000"rpm
