Draggin Jeans

I got some Draggins from Motomail for about $240 as well, I really like them, and can wear them without looking like a biker.

I "feel" safer with them so it was worth the $$'s for me, just not convinced they would be much use if it came to it (unlike my leathers that I hope would do the job!)

Had some for about 10 years (yes they do still fit) and they are very good, but not as good as leather.

I bought my knee pads off their website too. Cost approx $35. The velcro that attaches to the kevlar is pretty useless and if you walk around in them the pads usually end up around your ankles.

i got my draggin jeans from leather direct in chch, $251 (had 10% discount from mainland for my BHS)

I've found they're stiffer, when you drop them for various reasons they dont crumple like other jeans, so getting them off can be difficult.

they seem a bit itchy...just a wee bit, not enough to be annoying, I dont have sencitive skin or anything so it doesnt really worry me.

they seem warmer too, especially on the bike.

real happy with mine although they havn't been put to the test. reasonably warm. as previously stated I found the velcro on the optional knee armour to be pretty worthless. doesn't hold them in place at all and makes the jeans a bit less comfortable.

be warned the arctic blue camo is real bright. mine got a dousing in black dye to tone it down a bit. You can get a cold water dye since draggin instructions say cold wash only.

I bought my draggin jeans (they're not actually "Draggin" jeans, but a different brand) for $200, it think they usually sell them for $210 but they'll do $200. They are relaly comfortable and really warm, I'm wearing them at uni right now! They've got a lining inside that keeps you warm and it has little pocket things in the liner where the knees and i think your arse are so you can put the kevlar inserts in and the wont fall down cos they're in the pocket-thingy. I don't have the kevlar pads myself cos I reckon they'd be a bit uncomfortable, and being a student me cash sitiuation is a bit bleak.

But I find them really good and I feel safe in them.. just hope I never have to put them to the test!

Oh yea, another thing, they say cold wash and drip dry for a reason. I presume other brands are the same. If you put them in the drier to dry em you'll melt the kevlar, so avoid the temptation! I guess it's the same with warm wash, you risk melting the kevlar.

hell, i found a pair at savemart for about $30! LOL. wore em down south, and loved them! of course, they dont fit, so i have about 5cm of waist bunched up under my belt. awesome jeans... will get another new pair at some stage. ive only worn them the once... rest of the time i wear normal jeans.

they had been patched in the lower leg, but by the time mum took them up for me, the patch was gone. lmfao.

An excellent investment, ideal for the daily commute and more comfortable than leathers if one feels the need to dismount and practice walking! Certainly more acceptable in bars ans cafes when taking a break.

I wear them to uni every day and find the perfect for commuting and wearing them till I go home. Will need to invest in a second pair at some stage though... I can see having my only pair being in the wash could be a problem in the future.

Finally got round to buying some..$240 from Cycletreads, mentioned that I had a Gold Membership card and they chucked in a free Draggn' Jeans T-Shirt worth $40

When I was in Sydney I went to a big bike gear store and they had several different brands fo protective jeans. The only common factor was poor fit. The guy there found that most people found the fit poor but brought them anyway as there were no alternatives.

The Dragins that fitted in the legs were about 4+ inches to big in the waist. I think they made the jeans to fit an then added the kevlar as an after thought. The hornee brand were better fit in the leg and waist but rode very low in the hips that there was no protection in the small of the back.

This was not just the case for me my lady had the same problems. The Hornee ones did look good but the low cut made them not suitable.

Is there another brand out there that I have missed or someone keen to actually design something that works on a Motorbike???
