Thread: New addition

    New addition

    Well for some time I've noticed a partially grown cat running around the bar I work at scavenging food etc etc.. A number of times I have tried calling it but its skittery as and too scared to come close.. It just bolts and hides..

    Anyway.. A friend of mine and her partner also noticed the cat and started to bribe it with food.. Its taken a bit of a shine to them.. And eventually its started to bring its tiny wee baby with it when they put milk out...

    They have tried finding the owners.. But that has failed.. So I would say the cats either a stray, or has been dumped... she has decided to keep the mother cat.. This means they still need a home for the kitten..

    Pisses me off in a way that they have decided to take the mother today, and leave the little kitten to fend for itself... I don't have the heart to leave it on its own... As I doubt it would last.. Its probably all of 7 weeks old..

    So....After talking with my old lady last night about the kitten.. To then find a msg on my phone asking me to take the little one.. I know its the right thing to do...

    I kind of have a new addition to my group of babies...(photos to come) I'm still a bit undecided as yet because I already have enough pets... But I'm giving myself time to make a full decision on her future... Til then I'll offer her the warm and loving home which she deserves..

    My mates looking after her til I can get her vet checked etc before I introduce her to my cats.. And I'm off to pick up food for her today..

    Shes already named.. Found in April... Aprilia in full...

    Yeah... I know in my mind I should have let this one go... And left them to find another home for it.. But in my heart and stomach I can't do that, I know I'd be kicking myself..

    I've heard a few people at the bar I work at talking about killing cats.. So I know she won't last long if I don't take her..

    P.S Thanks... Awesome learner..

    We had a Manx... Very commonly known for their "problems" like not being able to control anything that comes out of their arse.. They can suffer major defects... Mum owned one and ended up taking it back.. You couldn't hold it cause it constantly had crap dribbling out and was in pain (you would be too if all you did was crap.. Poor thing...

    Only if she eats too many biscuits. If she has meat shes fine...

    Biscuits = Klingons
    Meat = happy pussy

    Shes not a big drinker, hence too many dry biccies cause problems. Had her 5 years now, Pedigree manx.

    Hmmm, sounds like your cat had a serious problem. Just cause it doesnt have a tail doesnt mean it can't control its bowels. I had a manx cat growing up. Great animal, never had a problem until it decided to "fetch" one of my snakes out of its enclosure when I was at school.

    Kitty vs Cape Cobra was an unfair fight

    Not all but some.. Was taken to the vet and it is a problem found in the Manx cat.. There was a defect.. Would have to ask mum about it again before I could explain it further.. Something about that area not being formed properly..

    Gah thats horrible..!!!!

    Special Medical Problems
    Manx Syndrome is a normally fatal defect caused by the so-called Manx gene, which causes the taillessness. The gene's action in shortening the spine may go too far, resulting in severe spinal defects--a gap in the last few vertebrae, fused vertebrae, or spina bifida in newborns. If there is no obvious problem with a Manx Syndrome kitten at birth, the difficulties will show up in the first few weeks or months of the cat's life, usually in the first four weeks, but sometimes as late as four months. It is often characterized by severe bowel and/or bladder dysfunction, or by extreme difficulty in walking
