    CX500 seat removal.

Until my Haynes manual arrives I dont know how to remove my seat to get the tank etc off, and it's pissing me off to say the least, and I'm sure it will be something obvious and simple to remove it as well.

I have found two springed latches on either side of the seat underneath it. One of the springs however has gone so it doesnt return, will this cause a problem.

Also what way should I be pushing/pulling the seat to get it off assuming moving these latches is the correct thing to do.

Any help will be very very welcome!

Try standing behind the bike, pull both latches backwards at the same time & lift the back of the seat up ,works for me!

Thanks, managed to get it off earlier, needed a good squirt of WD40 to free it up then popped off easily.
