Keep what you got.

Single cylinder, single carb, no oil changes, cheap to fix and nearly as fast as a CBR/ZXR.

For 3k you're not going to get a decent sports 250. Might get a nice 400 though.

You're in for a disappointment stepping off a kr150 with a 3k budget for the next sports bike.

I'd say pick up a fxr150 for as cheap as you can (~$1000-1500) to run around in, save for a 400 then bucket the fxr.
