Tyre review , Continental Contirace attack

    Bike- 2004 kawasaki zx10r
Tyres- Continental Contirace attack , front 120/70 , rear 190/50
    Riding style -fast but smooth
    Ride- coromandle loop

being a michelin pilot power fan for years i wasn't quite sure about changing tyre brands , but as i was in desperate need of some new rubber i thought i would give something else a go. so off to motohaus in auckland and a new set of Contirace attacks , a quick scrub in ride around the local roads before the coromandle loop planned for the following day.
Leaving home, the first forty five mins of the ride was cold but dry motorway , so to be honest i couldn't tell much different from any other tyre i have had , only when we got onto the Thames coast road did i start to get a feel for them , with the sun up , clear day and the temperature rising getting into a good groove along the coast road to coromandle town ship the tyres felt great , definantly confidence building , really felt like they were biting in to the chip seal , a quick bite to eat at coromadle then off over the hill towards whitianga , now anyone who has done this ride will know this hill is race track smooth , what can i say , these tyres were great!
The last section from Tairua to Kopu i know like the back of my hand , never once did they let go on me , even over the rutted bumps on the corners. Pulling into the gas station at Kopu showed the only problem with these tyres , pretty chewed up and showing signs of wear a tyre six months old would look like not two days old. In saying that i would definantly buy another set! I think the Visa is going to get a hammering next summer!

Nice one they are a great tire what I race on,

But seriously get your suspension checked they shouldnt be chewing out at all even an old tire shouldnt "chew out" they should wear away smootly and look just scrubbed not destroyed

The Road Attack will probably last longer too.
