    1990 ZXR A - Steering Head Bearings

I have just had a W.O.F. done and its seems I require a Rear Tire and more importantly new 'steering head bearings' seems the turning of the bars from left to right is not that smooth and feels like its rubbing on something mid turn either way. I was quoted around $60 for the bearings and a rather larger number more for labour. What I would like to know is how easy is this to check and replace and is anyone out there in the Wellington region keen on showing me how as I'd like to learn.

    Thanks.

I was asking a shop about steering head bearing replacement today...they reckoned it takes about one hour and a half to replace both bearings...they estimated 60-80 for the bearings.
    Best of luck.
