Nah - its a good thing, mines working on it now but I'm a thicko when it comes to this shit... I'll annoy a clever bastard like Jim2 and eventually he will feel sorry for me and sort it out in 5 mins...

What's it doing Paul?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

The difficulty is I'm a fucking moron... I thought we established that already? ;-)
The laptops see the network but it asks for a key - I think there were 4 in the router (direct connection, log in as admin, forgot the password) and I didn't write the other 3 down... Stupid i know but I'm sick at the mo and don't care any more - is there anything more wretched than a man with a cold...
Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
while we're on the subject, can anyone tell me how to change the settings of a router, from a pc that i didn't use to set it up? (i.e. the computer that logs onto onto the network)
and how does LAN work and how does one set it up?
cheers

Hey, kids! Captain Hero here with Getting Laid Tip 213 - The Backrub Buddy!
Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.
Paul - the key it is asking for the wifi key,(not the router admin login) normaly a 8 or 15 long key you put in. be in the routher under WEP, WPK or simlar
Indy - it will have a web interface be it 192.1681.1, 10.1.1.1, do an ipconfig /all in a dos(command window), and look for bit that says 'gateway' when have that throw that in IE or FF and there ya go
