abolish rep entirely
keep it - but limit people to, say 12 red reps a year
keep it - but don't allow people to make comments with their red rep
keep it - but abolish it FOREVER for people who abuse it more than once
keep it - but people should lose the same points from THEIR total as the people they've red-repped
keep it - but make people who overuse it publically confess what sad bastards they are
keep it - but have a mod go round to the home of abusers and block up their toilet

Some soft cocks do use the red rep system to bully other members, which is quite pathetic IMO. And if anyone believes they are being beaten up by another member using the red rep system then they should report it to a mod.
Mods can only do something about it if it's reported to us.

It's been said before, it's not the colour of rep, but the comment. Some people have PM'ed me all bent out of shape over nothing more than the red rep itself, but they just need to pull their head out of their arse.

Where's the poll option for 'abolish the entire rep system'?

It's been said before here, if you are receiving inappropriate/abusive red rep you have the option to complain to a mod, it is their job to take the necessary action, whatever they see fit. Apart from that who really gives a rats ass about it? Personally I have found most times rep is a great source of amusement whether it is green or red.
