Alternatives to Draggin Jeans?

I paid $240 for my Draggins which is around the price ya pay, i think my skin os worth at least $240, and i Draggin jeans have been proven to work.

Well i just binned in teknic kevlar jeans, the jean part ripped but the kevlar section is virtually unscathed

Did you slide much? I figure my Teknics would help in a lowside doing 30-50km but figure if I bin at 100+ I'm screwed. All my other gear is mint but I really need some decent pants for non-commute riding.

...(looks embarrassing to do that in the street, especially as you have to take your shoes off) and then stick it somewhere like a locker or whatever. Ghey. Waterproof, and probably better than the jeans, but not always convenient.

Personally I have no quams about doing just that. Usually wear a pair of jeans underneath mine for that very purpose.

I belive the price tag for the draggins is worth it as its your body thats on the line.I am currently using a pair of the urban camos,they are not that warm or wind proof which sucks.

I have a pair of Hood jeans which are fully lined with Aramid down to the shin.
They are from UK and cost me approx $140 delivered.They were even tailoured to the right leg length.
There is different styles to suit everyone and are very comfy and look good,just like your favourite Levi's

It is kind of weird being down to sizes that can be bought off the rack.
The sizes mean nothing to me.

Da mrs and I use heine gierke jeans, more than halfway waterproof, I find them very comfortable .....yet to be tested

Second the HG pants, strong and comfortable. Still wear Draggins now and then but prefer the Heine Gericke as they give more protection against wind and rain and can still pass reasonably well off the bike.
Too warm for summer though.

I had a look at the Teknic warrior jeans and there wasn't really enough kevlar in them for my liking; the upper leg didn't have any kevlar from what I could see. They had an RRP of $169.

I decided to go for the Shift jeans as they've got more kevlar, I'll be picking them up tomorrow so can give a verdict after that. Their RRP has just gone up to $230 from $185, I talked to the sales rep at AMPS nice enough that they did them for me at the original price.

Really? Teknics are about $140 down here at eric woods and the shift ones are $150 so sounds like you're getting ripped.
