Is there a cheaper alternitive to draggin jeans?
I know shift jeans are cheaper but are they as safe?
Any ideas would be great.

Shift jeans seem to rip pretty quickly in a low speed crash and I wouldn't have much confidence in them. I know I'm not the only one who has had that problem.
Quasimoto will have their range of Kevlar jeans out soon which look to be on a par with Draggins. And they should be a bit cheaper.
DRAGGIN JEANS i realy duno why people want them. my mate had some on over his leathers the other day and got his knee down and put a big hole in them i dont wana know how big the hole would if you went down the road. sift are good draggins over priced, but myself i would wait for quasi to release his. I went around to quasi the about a month ago and he had a pair at his place and the dont lookk to bad. But if your like me you will stay with the good old Lee and Levis jeans
MFSC lives on!
And the other thing to consider is cordura which has the same protection as the jeans + water and wind proofing.
Cordura Pants from http://www.lifestyle-imports.co.nz/ cost $160, the jackets are $180 or $320 for a matching set.
When considering any of the jeans, you need to compare the jeans+waterproofs, leathers+waterproofs against something like cordura and see how it all stacks up
Yeah but the cool thing about the Draggin jeans is that you can wear them around after you got off the bike. Cordura is a pain in the tit to wear around uni all day, you have to take it off (looks embarrassing to do that in the street, especially as you have to take your shoes off) and then stick it somewhere like a locker or whatever. Ghey. Waterproof, and probably better than the jeans, but not always convenient.
Well yes, there is that
Technic do them as well, however they are a very baggy cut (think rap video) they are $159 RRP, sorry do not know anyone that has crashed in them, they also size very big
Titanium leg suit castings are what you want. They look great and will take all the impact if you have a fall and will not tear. I think some force fields are currently being developed for bike riders aswell... the star trek jokers had something to do with it so I hear.
Oh yea, my "draggin" jeans are really warm. They'refrom Mt Eden Motorcycles and are "HeinGericke" brand.
I have a one piece but it's not not very practicle around town and have some cordura pants but they're uncomfortable when off the bike and make you look like you're wearing a rubbish bag, plus in the summer they're HOT AS FUCK!!!! Bloody hell you get sweaty, I just want some jeans I can wear around town when on the scooter or bike then go to the pub or whatever but when I go out of town obviously I wear leathers or corduras or whatever. 2 Pairs of jeans arn't that comfy either.![]()

Frank Thomas do some black cargo pants which are similar to the Draggins but look a little smarter. I've never worn them, but they do look really solid. Cycletreads sell them.
I've never worn Draggins but the brochure of the company owner being towed behind a bike on his arse at 160km/h for 300m is pretty convincing.
...
Draggin jeans are good, I know one guy who has binned it twice and his draggins didnt rip.
I have a pair and I like them. Also got a pair of coduras, and leathers. My leathers are what I wear mostly. But draggins are good for commuting. Coduras, are now collecting dust lol.
As for cordura after youve binned it once the material rips and you have to replace them. So its only good for a once off as I found out the hard way.
But it does protect.
My bass is such a slapper.......I cant stop fingering those strings

Teknic Warrior Jeans - more comfy than draggins - the kevlar is lined on the inside. $160 ish.
Shift jeans here for me, saying that it's for crusing on those hot summers day/nights, very comfortable. Usually when it's going to be a spirited ride it's leathers for me !
As mad as a spider, and twice as hairy !
R1Madness has some cameos & draggin type jeans (I can't remember the brand) at Just Motor cycles @165 Bowhill rd Way cheaper than Draggin brand
