    Gudday, welcome, etc!

What's with the avatar? Looks like a tat to me!

Good picking Swoop. It is her first tat and she got it a year ago. It's her little 'slutty bear' but I'm afraid I can't tell you where on her body it is.

Mrs Oakie racked up 120 odd kilometres with me following her around over Saturday and then late Sunday afternoon last weekend.
Saturday was a good 40 minutes or so just burbling around the suburbs getting familiar with the bike followed by a toodle out to Kaiapoi via Marshlands Road then back to town via the motorway (just to see if the bike would do an easy 100kph (). Sunday was a trip out to Lyttleton and back with another new member (Mrs T). She did really well and after a short time looked like she'd been riding for years. Handled the roundabouts much better than I did when I started biking again. I think I need to push her over a couple of times just so she doesn't get over-confident! She's hanging out for the next weekend to arrive although I suspect she'll probably get out by herself on Friday afternoon as she doesn't work Fridays.
    I think I've created a monster....

Good on ya for getting up front again. I cant imagine my life without riding - it is what keeps me sane in my crazy world. I can also relate to you looking for a bike that fits short legs -it can be a bit of a challenge - specially when you want something with a bit more grunt.
Have fun and keep safe. :

Thanks everyone!!! I am really hanging out to go for a ride. I have my mum here at the moment so I will forgo the bike tomorrow and spend some quality time with her ......shopping!!!!!! I didn't realise how much I missed riding. It is so ...... I don't know .....free. It is my space and no-one can enter it. Yes it does help you cope with real life.

Awwww.....she's just like a real biker now! We went out for a spin to Rangiora yesterday and:
    A) she passed her first two vehicles on the open road
    B) she got a buzz out of opening it up on the motorway and reaching 120kph, and
    C) she skilfully avoided the old coot who backed out infront of her and still had the poise to wave to him with a single upraised finger.

Surely that first ticket can't be too far away....

Oh. We popped into Burwood and visited Inline4 too so she's now met her 4th KBer .

Well done mr and mrs oakie and congrats on the new purchase. I am very pleased that you found the bike for you mrs O.

Will you please have a chat to my wife and convince her to do the same. She used to ride many moons ago. I would be most grateful.

All the best and ride safe.
