I don't have winter gloves and I can't find any to fit my hands - apparently I have short fingers and squat palms and if I don't find some gloves soon, I will have to give up riding all winter, because I am the biggest blouse out there....I just can't cope with the cold, I'd rather freeze my tits off than my hands - (tits don't help you ride better, but hands do)....please can I have them, I promise if they don't fit I will pass them on to the next most pathetic person (oops, story) who posts on here! ...and kisses too!!!

    Damn!
I don't need the gloves (I have about 6 pairs already, including some brand new (well, worn a few times) Spidi Sport Comp H2Out (thanks, Lou and AMPS!), but I was looking forward to writing a sad-arse story.
    Because I'm a sad arse.
And my arse is sad too.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

    Ah, WTF.

    Sad Arse Story
    By Mr S. Arse

Please oh please, Mr Fire Fight, can I please please please have a turn of your flash new gloves?

I used to have some gloves, but I had to sell them to pay for food for the kids, and an operation for the wife. And the bread bags I'm using have holes in them, so the rain got in and wrecked the insulation. "Insulation?!?" you say, and no doubt you think that's a luxury. But I can't afford any more shop-bought bread, so I don't have any more bread bags, and the newspapers I used for insulation are hard to come by since they stopped the recyclable collection in the trailer park (where we live under a caravan), and the glossy advertising materials that blow around the ground here is too slippery and doesn't provide much warmth against the cold.
I've already lost my lefthand pinky to frostbite, and the tips of two other fingers, one thumb, and my knob-end, so thinks are getting a bit grim. Luckily, the fingers and knob don't hurt so much any more, since the nerves died when I cauterised them with some burning rubbish. Also lucky is that even though my hands used to be a "L" they're now more like an "M", due to the bits around the edges that rotted off.

I know, you're going to say "Luxury!" because I still have some fingers left. And I admit, I am better off than some.

And I promise I won't sell the nice, shiny gloves for drug money.
I can't promise I won't sell one of them for food though, if I really have to...

Is that sad-arse enough? Or should I embellish it some more? I promise it's not just the bag I'm after...
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
