    eek Bloody hell!

From 1942 until his death in 1945, Adolf Hitler was given daily intravenous injections of methamphetamine by his personal physician, Theodor Morell,[5] as a treatment for depression and fatigue. It is possible that the Parkinsons-like symptoms which Hitler increasingly developed from 1940 onwards were related to his use of methamphetamine

There was a good series on one of the doco channels a while ago (might have been an Auntie Beeb job originally) called "Altered Statesmen"...Churchill's boozing, Kennedy's painkillers etc.

She needs some mind-altering drugs to bring her INTO the real world. S/he is living in la-la land at the moment!

US Armed Forces use amphetimines to stay awake, eg fighter pilots, sub captains etc.

That should be a tag line on the recruitment posters, "Join the forces get drugs."
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Most countries forces do, and not just special forces...theres always a time and a place.

In fact, if anyones ever seen the doco on drug history, alot of amphetamine usage came from doctors prescribing it to housewives in the 50's (I think) who wanted to blow some weight. I recall one woman talking about how the "black bombers" (named due to their size and colour) not only helped with weight loss but also enabled rather vigorous house cleaning to be done (since that was the womans place back then....)

He apparently had a not very healthy relationship with his mother (no, not that unhealthy) as the result of being the only one of the male kids that survived early childhood, and went even more doo-lally when she karked it.

Apologies for the technical psychology terms in there

remember the episode of family ties where Alex(?)(MJ Fox) took a whole heap of diet pills to stay awake studying, and then he crashed and burned and missed his exam.

    .

but they must have all been loopy, hitler was just one man.
the others (most of the country in the beginning) went along with it for a while, so they must have thought it was a good idea at the time.

If Helen Clark said, go and round up some ****** and wipe them out, most people would quite rightly say "fuck right off, ma'am"

Simple explanation: History is written by the winners...and Hitler lost.
