I've got an LC4E and it's very suitable as an Adv bike (esp. with the 18l tank).

They're a helluva lot cheaper than the LC4A, too.

The 690 will probably be less stressed than the 640 due to major engineering enhancements. It's not going to be like a WR250F/CRF250......
This is the best bit of news yet. I know it has to be a balance between maintenance, power and weight but I defiantly prefer erring to the lower maintenance and higher weight side.

I obviously dont do enough reading though as I didnt know the 625 aka 640 had been around since 96.

Yes, be nice to me or you'll get it back with a ground header, cut carb spring, opened airbox and shimmed needle

Emig offer 2 1/4" and 1 1/8", he's running the latter, same as me.

Note that this bike has the forks that are rated as the best ever on the 640 (including the newer models).

It was a great bike for the price! I was suprised it didn't generate more discussion. I was seriously considering it myself (struggling to convince myself I needed 3 bikes), even rode down to Thames for a look. I bags the next cheap AT at a dealer .

, good to see another Africa Twin fan.

What did you think of that low ks Super Tenere?
I haven't ridden one, but they are suposed to be a little more powerful than the AT.

This morning when I registered the LC4E that I never have time to feckin' ride, I got to thinking about selling it.

It's an '02 Model (reg. 03 first i think), 18l tank, SXC Exhaust, bark busters and has about 7k miles on it (UK Spec Model, but sold new in NZ).

    Whaddaya reckon she's worth?

Someone talk me out of selling her...
