Absolute bargain on DCT Africa twin at Hastings Honda.... very tempted if it wasn't for the weight of the dct version and I don't like the red scheme.
Be quick the also sensible priced (even lower) ABS one they had sold in about 4 days....

tempting - yet I find it hard to justify to the CFO - 3 bikes is enough in her mind - hard to find the perfect woman eh

Sheesh. $11'000. A bloke rode into town on one a few days ago. He looked a bit beaten up so I popped over to say hi. Turns out beaten up was his style, the bike was equally rugged. On closer inspection it had Ohlins shock, pivot pegz, Excel front wheel and a host of other bling lurking under it's battered body work. Seriously nice bit of kit and on knobbies, too.

    Husky TR650

last of the BMW 650 singles. 58hp. Built in Italy. There is one on trade me. Good value compared to the BMW version.
I have owned 3 various rotax 650 singles before. F650 funduro, Aprilia pegaso 650 (5 valve). Those 1st two built on the same line in Italy. Then a G650 xchallenge. (Again, built by Aprilia.)
The Husky is best so far. Built in Husqvarna plant in Italy while the brand was under BMW ownership. Same rotax 650 but built under license in china. As is the G650GS motor of the same year.
20% more power that the BMW and has upside down forks. Great value for money.

Known issue of occasional stalling at idle and when coming off throttle. Same issue shared with BMW equivalent both running BMS-E engine management.
BMW and Husky both issued recalls to remap the ecu. KTM own Husky and they will remap your ECU. (My ECU being done now)

the up-side is better fuelling. Plus this recall has meant that Husqvarna dealers now have access to the cable to allow diagnostics and servicing of the BMW/Huskies. (TR650s and 900 Nudas)

Terra has big wheels. Strada has smaller mag wheels. (All use same wheels as the various BMW 650s)
    Worth a look.

    Tested one for KR:

Much betterer motor than the F650 (I owned an 02 Dakar F650, which was a POS).
Very good all around adv scoot (note the custom engine protection which we made out of rubber/plastic roofing material).
