Police admit their complete incompetence

Police in Auckland have warned people that a certain street is not safe to venture through as there is a gang problem there, in a housing New Zealand house as well, and the shits have been through the courts.......... and now rather than quash the crime people are just being told not to go there?

I have a story: A mate of my old man's had his truck stolen (one of those little doublecab minitruck things) and reported it to the cops.
A week or two later he is driving down a local road and voila! there is his truck, on the side of the road. He promptly calls the police and advises them of the situation. 10 mins later the police turn up and after taking a quick look around, they say that they cant get the truck back because it is outside a Mongrel Mob residence and they have a restraining order against them!

Thats my 5c worth.

Um - how can you possibly blame the Police for doing a bad job in raising these little pricks? How is it the Polices fault that they bring them before the court and they get put back on the street. How is it the fault of the Police that housing NZ gives the shitheads a gang house when families can't get one?

Every muppet gets off the road when your doing 130 (dont worry i learnt my lesson - friend got pinged on that street doing 70). Didnt really think its was a gang road though - there are scarier ones out in Kelston.

Agreed. The police were merely trying to warn people to take care - as they do in any situation requiring caution. It doesn't mean to say they are not doing anything about it at all.

No - it is not that simple - you'd have to be able to justify it.

They cannot be stopped when executing their lawful duty - which may involve a number of duties (EBA proceedures, pursuit, to arrest, execute warrants, Crimes Act powers etc etc etc).

Everyone has the lawful right to have access to your front door. But yes, you can ask them to leave under s3.3 of the Trespass Act 1980.

Get real...in parts of America tourists are told to stay where there are people....St Pauls in Bristol was a no go area for Police years ago......the Romans knew where not to go...this has been going on for centuries and now we have Police it becomes their fault.

Surely, if there is a place where Gangs are why would you want to go there anyway so what the Police say makes sense. Not saying it is right but then is there an amusment park there or something that the gangs are stopping people getting to?

When we get really bad weather we are told to stay in doors if we can, not to drive due to bad road conditions......do we complain no because it makes sense so what the Police say makes sense, what is wrong.............or the difference?

beats me in this case Speedie but I have been told by a cop that his x girlfreind tresspassed him!!!!! So hey when dont I beleive a copper......arent they all just honest bastods?????

Option A: Cops too scared? I would be, but they have stab-proof vests don't they? (Well, not the officers that have been stabbed lately.) I don't think it'd be that, they can round up the numbers to squash these turds, I'm sure. Too lazy? Maybe, probably too busy dishing out 111kph tickets perhaps. I'd say the bullshit excuse is more like it because of.........

Option B: It's quite possible the police are up to something themselves, meaning they are well aware of the goings-on and are bulding a case for more serious charges. That doesn't help when you're a punter who's a vehicle short though.

At the end of the day, if there is an order against them the judge who signed it needs rooting. I say the cops should go in, all guns blazing, arrest the lot and cut their heads off. If this occurred regularly, as it did in France so many years ago, the problem might fade away...........

Whatever, we need a harder line on these suburban terrorists, they're scum, plain and simple. Lock em up, no TV, no underfloor heating, hard labour etc.
