Wanted to buy

Last thread wasn't getting too much attention so...
I need a 250cc 4 stoke, preferably 4 cylinders, definately not one.
FZR, GSX, GSXR or something along those lines. Age not a big concern, preferably kms under 50k.
Around the 2 grand mark.

For that kind of dollars, keep your eyes peeled in the trade and exhange.... look for bikes in the 2000-2750 range and talk them down

I've got a ZXR250 coming down from Kaitaia, developed a strange engine noise but runs fine. So we will see what the check says

sounds like the cam chain tensioner.......

camchain is an easy job -tentioner is a bit harder but not too bad

as i said somewhere else if you get a mechanic to do it. If it has the tensioner kit it will cist like approx $75 for labour to do it if it doesn't have the kit you will need to add about $82 on top of that.

How much do you think it would cost for someone to find out where this rattle is coming from?

Well the guys at Mt eden are pretty good. I go in and they have a listen and they picked the cam chain rattle up right away. If they can hear what is wrong they will tell you or charge you about $60 an hour to find out. Most bike shops are like that.
