Gas stop at Masterton for those that needed it.
You're getting used to who's who now so I'll cut the commentary.

If I gotta suffer at least I wanna know what I missed out on.
To see a life newly created. To watch it grow and prosper. Isn't that the greatest gift a human being can be given?
Part 2 of, erm 3 actually![]()
Good effort with the photos Merv - did YOU get time for any socialising?![]()
Looked like a decent size turnout too, the more the merrier.
So, did the Auckland guys keep up with the front pack on the rides? I know Loosebruce would have been up there regardless of his unfamiliarity with your roads!

That pic of the red Ducati, from behind, was all I saw all day... Sheesh! That bike hogs the road, won't let ANYONE passhehe
I thought it was a really nice ride today, and the weather was great, only a few spots on the way home. As you may know, there were three groups organised, sight-see'rs, medium and fast. Now, I thought I was relatively fast, but I quickly learnt that you need to be certifiable to qualify for the fast groupStill, the big group gives a feeling of security from any tickets, so I got to give it a good go up the Taka's

Nice to meet all of you who I met, and I'll catch you all on Thursday night.
Dave.
Thanks for the pics Merv. I wanted to hang around and meet you and the other KBers, but our group was kitted up ready to go when you all pulled up at the Flying Fish and I had pressing Father's day commitments to get home for. Hope to be at the next track day Dean, Bruce and all, see ya then.
Cheers
ps- get a bit breezy on the home run did it!
Happiness is a means of travel, not a destination
neat to see what you and your bikes look like, I must say the bikes look well cared for and much loved!, awesome riding gear you all wear too, noone had jandals or T-shirts! Glad you had a successful and enjoyable weekend, hopefully Quasi and Cajun make it home safely too, cheers L

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
Um.... If you read through Merv did a pretty fair description... If was an increasingly nice day and despite the Cold Kiwi being on, nearly every bike in the lower North Island was out on the road!
Not much chance you could mistake my Guzzi for something else (the fluro stripes are a dead give away) and towards the end, I'm fiddling with the tank bag. (blue black spidi NT tour jacket. (yes, we were well dressed, it was chilly this morning)
The weather was increasingly favourable, the people were consistently wonderful, the car traffic was light and i didn't get a ticket. In short! A bloody good day out!
The pace in our middle group was set by me (which was possibly a mistake - not my idea - blame Jim2) and the road surface was a little dodgy here and there so I was in take it easy mode. However, with such a large group, silly riding is certain disaster! besides, we had seen a lot of mufti cars an I was in the box seat for a ticket (I know what that penguin the others push in to check for killer whales feels like now)
The red VFR is Mervs and there are no piccies of him because he took most of the others!
So! Not blinding fast (even for a Guzzi) but a very nice day, and to my knowing, no one binned it! Bikes ranged from an ably ridden GN250 to the latest and greatest ridden with various degrees of ability! It was a bloody good day out! Take a bow Wellington KB.
I appear in some of Blakamin and Stonechuckers pics - short dude, jacket red on top black on the bottom.
OK finished dinner now, I might go back and edit some of my comments to add names that I know.
Cheers
