.I didn't get a chance to do a write-up yesterday, but I think it's pretty well be covered by you guys anyway.
Thanks heaps to everyone for posting the photos. The one of me coming into Wainuioru is great Merv, it's now my wallpaper both home and work and has been emailed round almost every motorcyclist in creation.
Merv, I think you've more or less got most names right.
The whole weekend was a real buzz. Let's hope this coming weekend is fine.
Quasi: you up for a coffee at Taumarunui Saturday?

Merv: Yep, that's Dion on the MV 1000 at M/Borough, and the 748 belongs to Mooch. The red 996 belongs to et al. You've done a great job with the names.

Maybe we've just got older and have got past the riding in jandals and T-shirt thing. Until 1973 I could ride around town without a helmet on (great way to dry your hair after a shower - I had hair then too and didn't live in Welly), then they made it compulsory no matter what speed zone you were in so I guess I've been sensible for over 30 years now.Originally Posted by toads

I was guessing it was either a short cut (nope), I'd miss read the ride instructions (nope), a cunning ruse to ride some great roads real fast without us (nope) or they missed the turn off (yup) and missed the chance to annoy the golfers....

So how come someone on a black Commando was able to go unnoticed apart from Merv's camera?
In and out of jobs, running free
Waging war with society
We noticed alright! couldnt miss it!Originally Posted by Motu
I shook hands with the guy, and as usual in a crowd promptly forgot his name. It wasn't someone I had met before. I was hoping someone would come forward and tell us his KB name so I could post it, but no such luck so far. I tried to take a pic of most of the bikes there.Originally Posted by Motu

I'm even sadder Merv...
Had several chats with Commando man and the couple on the big GSX (also british affectionados) as I have a similar affliction and I either forgot to ask OR promptly forgot... Still... It was my birthday so......![]()

I haven't watched my recording yet, but did Cap knock Biaggi off or did Biaggi hit Cap? They both reckon the other guys was to blame as usual but it sounds like Cap got hit from behind and even our road code is clear on blame there.Originally Posted by Lynda Blair
