    George receives the Purple Heart

The heroic Jack Russell that took on 2 Pit Bulls to save children and had to be put down because of his horrific injuries has been awarded the Purple Heart.

This story has really touched me.
Sad and angry at the Pit Bulls and their owners !!!!!

I think that guy is retarded.

No returned service men get the respect they deserve and hes one of the lucky ones who returned and more luckily he got given the purple heart, and hes giving it to a dog??
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

What a naive comment, better not to make a comment if you don't understand.

The gentleman has made a nice gesture sending the medal.

That little dog showed more courage and character than most people will ever show. It was a great example of commitment and selflessness in the face of impossible odds.

You're absolutely right - that's what makes this story so remarkable.

The US Vet made a good comment on TV. Something like - That dog made the ultimate sacrifice giving up it's life to save another, and that deserves a medal.
Why don't the media force a camera into the face of the pitbulls' owner and shame him in front of the world. Bastard.

It's a fucking dog. I love animals, but get real. There's thousands of people doing selfless things everyday.

IMHO the medal was his to do with as he pleased.
George's owner will have something to look at and remind him of what his wee dog did.

I'm irritable today. I think it's good to retain one's sense of perspective.
