    Cool Motorcycle songs

One of the more"interesting" motorcycle songs would have to be the "Funky Moped" song as played often in the golden era of Wellington radio when Pirate FM ruled.

Hey welcome Ash, I noticed you'd been lurking a bit in the mornings lately, I'd see you name up but not many postings until now.

I haven't been on too many Ulysses rides lately, how about you?

So you've moved to Nelson, no wonder I don't see you these days.

I see you've got a 1200GS now. Do you still have the Bimota?
    Cheers

    Merv

    motorcycle songs

Soundgarden's "kickstand" a good one and there "rusty cage" not really about motorcycles but it was the song that played on the road rash video game when you were racing on public roads it seemed appropriate
Cold Chisel's "bow river" the line "first set of wheels" two could be a set, well I always thought so.

And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Yes it is, but the lack of a motorcycle connection is yet more proof for my "There is no good motorcycle song" theory.

"Tonight's the night" by Rod Stewart is a great biker song. Lyrics that speak fondly of the love between a man and his new machine as he dreams of their shared moments together on life's highway. This fondness is demonstrated by his promise to keep the new bike warm and safe in his upstairs bedroom. His girlfriend's enthusiasm for his new purchase is also revealed at the end of the song when, in French, she murmers "Well fuck me!" in admiration...

Methinks "Man in the Box" would probably do better in the Scottish Thread, with its references to JC and denying your maker.

Being a piano-playing poofter, I know very little about the intricacies of the bits and bobs one uses to create rock music.

Yesterday I finally found out how David Gilmour did the guitar intro to Run Like Hell. I had no idea things were that complicated.

Actually, that's probably not a bad motorcycling song, either.

Pianno can be good for motorcycle music.

I'm starting to understand Wagner now (i'm a musical luddite so has taken a while). Its great for humming and conducting to (for those that conduct while riding).
