    For sale: fzr250

    Its for sale now..

Cosmetically its seen much better days. Its been pushed against a quad bike by sheep, dropped at a walking pace and been reversed into and then dropped. Each time it has been given a going over by mechanics and given the all clear. This does mean the motor is in good nick according to what we were told a couple of months ago but the fairing and things have been badly repaired and still have cracks in them in places.

The bike is a wee FZR250. It has just had the front forks overhauled thanks to someone reversing into MissSniper at a set of lights. This means there are new springs, fork seals and oil as well as being tested to make sure they are not bent or damaged any further. We had a service done at the same time. We have put a new speedo cable in a year ago and new spark plugs 750kms ago.

The bike has 48000kms on it. It does smoke a wee bit on start up, Im not sure what it does at full revs. It has a smaller toothed sprocket on the back to keep the revs down while touring. I still have the original sprocket for it. The tyres are good, I have a spare rear tyre if you want to take it. It could do with a new battery, but once running, it charges itself up well, needs to be started and run every couple of days to keep charge. Could be dud battery or electrical fault.

Rego is out and on hold, but I will pop a 3 month one on if the price is right. Warrent until End of July.

Hey bung bung. I could be completely wrong, but you are looking at about 3cm (I think). I wrapped a string aroung the inside forkleg and then divided the length by 4. Is that right?
