The way i look it at is 13 years behind bars ( most of my life, im 18 ) is worth A LOT more than $13,000,000. Personally i think he is innocent and he deserves to go and have a good life with a bit of cash, he really does deserve compensation of some sort. But in saying that, i think all he will want to do and get back to the normal life with a job and do things normal people do. I dont people for their face value, but when i saw him on TV tonight he really didnt look like a murderer. I hope all goes well for him.

They probably let him loose because the Stuff poll was 70/30 for it (I think).
Helen will have whispered in some snivelling Judges ear "I think we need a diversion from John Keys meteoric rise in popularity".

None of the murderers I nursed in forensic wards looked like murderers, well only one (he now loiters in bishopdale park).

But how about he is 4/5th innocent, as in he only killed Robin who prolly needed it. I mean unless Robin had boneless arms like on the KFC tv ad then how did Robin get a rifle with silencer trained on the back of his own head, apparently with the wrong hand (per the angle wasn't it?). Did his neck stretch forward a metre from some ostrich gene?

I think that even Kaeam is not silly enough to assert there is not room for doubt re his innocence. He has even publicly said he is taking him on faith to his word. And hes not claiming some all knowing power. He's not 100% which shows he's no fool.

I wasn't aware of that. If Joe really believes this then I retract my comment about him being stupid.

I thought Bain may have mentioned his dead family in all the talk last night on telly. The loss, memory etc etc.

But then again after 13 yrs maybe he's over it.

Or maybe as usual we did'nt see all of what he said due to editting, time restraints etc.

Not at all. I wasn't predicting what would happen, simply expressing my opinion and my opinion remains the same, he should be remanded in custody.

And as for the suggestion of compensation, the Govt will never cough any $$$ unless he is completely pardoned, as was the case with Arthur Thomas. Even if he is retried and acquitted they won't cough up as he was rightly convicted in the original trial based on the evidence available at the time.

Ummmm...fairer to say...."the evidence that they decided to use (or twist to fit the facts) at the time...."
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Whatever your opinion might be the Govt has an out, they won't cough up unless there is a full pardon.
