    Re-spoking wheels?

    Does anyone know of anyone that does re-spokeing of wheels, mate is looking at a VT750 Shadow thats damaged Also does anyone know where to get various things like say? A whole front end???

    It takes me 2 hours but I never want to do one again

    I'd keep well away from it, check the wreckers, but they weren't exactly popular so you may not be able to get parts, except new. Maybe. Then that would blow the budget.

    Wheels are easy to build with little more equipment than a vice & spoke spanners, . . if the rim is straightish (not flattened) & you are starting with the correct size spokes. Take a picture so you can remember how the pattern looks. Once it is straight then check that it is central once fitted to the bike (easy to move with every 2nd spoke adjustments).

    This is the trademe auction for the vt750 #98419540, my mate is looking for a good do-up, it looks pretty good, thanks for the info
