Completed Brass Monkey. 1900ks. Bike has now done 3800kms. Rear D218 tyre is stuffed. (Replaced with Road Attack) Broke my rule of not going South unless new tyre fitted. Seat was not a problem at all. Rode tank to tank a couple of times (280kms) without any discomfort. Bike has a huge amount of power above 8000rpm but with this the fuel economy drops. Fantastic bike on 70k plus corners. Much torque meaning less gear changes. Just couldnt get the tighter twisties right. Might have to go to the gym. Full panniers could also have contributed. Am looking forward to a long association with this bike. Top speed attained so far 230kmph. (On private land) Still more there. Panniers once again stopped any more speed.

Sweet, sounds like it's going well. 230km/h is pretty good, it will probably go faster but just take a while to wind up. Geez 3.8K is not much for the tyre I hope I get a bit more out of mine.
    Got all that to come

haha maybe I should leave the sheep in it for extra padding
stopped at cafe cuba for a while and was after that so might have been after sitting on their hard chairs for a while, cause during the ride wasn't too bad. Banditrider said there was a place in Otaki or somewhere that makes custom one while you wait which sounds like the go

Would be good to hear what ks you do get. The D218 is an out and out sports bike tyre and would be more suited to an R1 or GSXR1000. I have only heard good things about the Conti Road Attack so am expecting a few more ks. The front 218 is hardly worn. Maybe I should start riding on 2 wheels .... just kidding.

If you let him know you're coming you'll be sweet. Also, weekends are better as he has days off during the week.
