If we get back to Napier by 3pm they could still get home before dark...just a thought...be nice to catch up with them again. Just checked.... the weather looks OK

    Is it worth it?

Hey guys, I was wondering if y'all could help me out. I'm coming down your way to see Dusty @ Leda leathers and then having a tootle around in the Rapa. I was wondering is it worth bringin' the bike or would I only get wet? Coz from where I'm looking it looks a little dubious. Cheers if you can help a brother out. I'd love to get out on my bike but I'm not gonna get pneumonia for it.

Hey rapa chicks and guys. Have a good ride today.

Quick update while I'm checking Haast Pass road conditions and West Coast weather to see how wet we are going to get.

Had a great wee blast down to the Catlins, nice area and road. Rained a little bit over night and had damp and slippery roads so quiet ride to Invercargill, down to Bluff, then back up to Dunedin via Tapanui, Raes Junction, Lawrance, a few oh shit moments on the damp roads- 1st time i've ridden the 600 in the wet I think.

Stayed in Dunedin and caught up with some rellys and friends. Back to Timaru on the Friday.

Saturday- BRASS MONKEY. Wet ride down and pretty soaking by the time we got to site. Set up tents and started a drum fire to warm and dry out. Some time that evening the rain stopped and clouds cleared. After a few drinks 4 of us pierced our ears with our badges- apparently it's tradition. After more drinks off to bed not too cold.

Woke the next morning it had cooled down a lot and frosted. Battled my way out of frozen tent, warmed up again, fed then on the road. Ranfurly to Dunedin via Middlemarch. What a fantastic road! Loved that ride- supreme. Wee break in Dunedin, then up to Wanaka via Milton, Clutha Valley, Alexandra. Another great wee road, but sun had gone down and was pretty cold by Alex and on auto pilot by Wanaka.

Sunny day here in Wanaka now, but I think we are guna get wet up the west coast if we can make it through the reported ice and grit on the Haast Pass.

Nah i set out and got to Woodville and looked down your way and it looked like utter shite! So i thought it's not to late i'll go back cet the car and go down in it, when I got in the car I thought I had better check my rear tyres coz I noticed they were getting a bit lean on tread the other day and sure enough the passenger side stealbelt was juuust starting to peek through. So I called Dusty and flagged it, i'll just have to finalize the jacket via e-mail.
