    Slinky,

Yeah it was mate. My Black GSX1400. Why?

The later ones have a four into one not a four in to two, maybe that's why you think I was on something else?

    Cheers

oh it was? i haven't really payed much attention to what it looks like front on, and i guess it just wasn't what i expected when looking in my mirrors.

Hah yeah, I have a dualsport knobby type tyre on the rear of my 100+HP trailie! Good for roosts in the gravel and certainly ups the fun on the bitumen, especially in the wet..!
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

I think you might mean Tony? KB name Tomo. He has a Black GSX1400 too and his has a fairing with built in lights and looks totally different from the front to mine. I didn't see you except for when I spoke with you at Whangamata and was never behind you at any stage so would have been him I would say.

He's a good bloke and nice steady rider. Used to have a Vstrom a while back.

    Keep safe

I reckon we should all form a coalition. Any big bike just has a penchant for tyres and they aint cheap. If we all band together and get shares in a tyre company we might avoid the raped bank accounts.

Mind you, the biggest rapist of bank accounts has to be Helen.

    yes,
    but not on the ten....
was doing low 1:40s on the ten and very low 1:40s on my track bike

then i took Chris Mitchell's very well prep'd gsxr750k1 track bike for a blat... hence the 1:37

then back onto the ten for some 1:59's... couldn't ride it after sampling the above BEAST
