had a choice ride down 22 and over to Raglan today, 5 of us tootling along...

and who should we bump into in Raglan... a certain Mr Andrew Stroud. He was the white knight stopping to help one of our unfortunate riders.

xlnt!!! yep, he's a nice fella!! I met him at the bar in the Golden Mile pub, after a National's race day at Ruapuna.. got his autograph.. for my sons.. of course... & he seemed suitably impressed when I told him of my exploits at riding the mighty Blade at 240ks down the straight at Ruapuna myself..

    That would be me

We did gravel too. Kawhia. Wo0o0o0 gravel is fun.

Met a lad with a DRZ400 motard. Was funny... we were taking our pissy little sports bikes through kilometres of gravel, while this DRZ400 wouldn't touch it and took the tarmac route.

Yeah, that guy was a bit of a n00b... you shoulda offered to swap bikes with him... I think he needs to learn how to ride properly on something smaller first

Hey! My little ol'hornet is a naked bike thank you very much! That reminds me, need to wash my little ol'hornet after that gravel run! Will do it after this post!

I liked the bit when Xerxesdaphat was overtaking a cager and he had to do the running legs bit as the oncoming traffic loomed around 500km is just a little pootle for me!

"pissy little sprots bikes.." That will be my next trackday bike! Saw a whole bunch of other bikers on "serious" bikes and my little ol'hornet could only grin back

Did you come across any cows on the road after a blind corner? I was point for my little group and had that "feeling". Slowed right down and bingo bango ... a whole little herd grazing on both sides and in the middle of the road

Buzzed them with my little ol'hornet and they all gee-ed up (guess they are used to being mustered by farmers on their quads/bikes)

Hahaha... he was the guy that Zeroindex put the frighteners on (I saw the whole thing -- Zeroindex was overtaking him, and the guy was just about to pull out to overtake the guy in front of him, and didn't look in his mirrors. Gave him a bit of a fright I think lol). When I went past he sped up from about 90-95kph to 120kph, because he still had the shits. However when I did the bicycle pedalling he saw it in the mirror and laughed and backed off .

The only times I don't like having a 250cc single is a) going up long hills and b) overtaking.

It's cagers that do that, that just piss me off... they take so damn long to overtake, and they think they're just as quick as the bike that's just past the last two cars behind them... happens so often, I just ignore it, and hug the white line on the other side of the road... talking about bicycle pedalling (which i do often when i see bicycle riders), those damn cyclists pissed me off... 3-wide, taking up the entire lane... flew past them with the horn going, and then gave them the middle-finger salute... I mean seriously, I don't mind them being on the road, but when you have to jump over a double yellow line, just to get round some f**king pedal-power shit-machines, that's just not on...
