I know this is a site mainly for the 2 wheel kind but as i'm also a great fan of the F1 i just thought i'd touch base with fellow fans and weather or not your enjoying it this year with it been so close.

Keep your eye on L Hamilton the rookie this year man of the future and i'll be the first to say it he will one day be a F1 Champion

Used to watch it. Ever since I've taken up biking I can't be arsed watching those races. I know it's supposedly the "pinnacle" of motorsport but it's all over the day before the race (i.e. Qualifying) cause the order they start in is invariably the way they end, unless somebody has a brain-explosion on the first corner.

I'm a bit of an F1 fan, been watching it for years, well before I got into motorbikes. Getting into motorbikes means I'm now dead keen on World SBK, and I Moto GP (on tonight! ) as well, but I still keep up with F1. It's been pretty interesting so far this year, though a three week break and a four week break between two grands prix has cooled off some fan support. Not so good this year for the team I support - Honda - after an extremely promising year last year, but hopefully they'll improve somewhat... last year's machine (this year's Super Aguri) is doing better than they are. Embarrassing.

I used to watch F1 all the time, no matter what the hour, it was on telly, when it was shown on TV1.
But when it went over to Sky, that was the end of it for me.
Only cos I dont have sky at home.

Just have to catch the highlights that they show on the news from time to time.

Yeah I was quite grumpy when it went to SKY as well... even though I already had SKY by that stage. I liked TV1's coverage of it... Geoff Bryan and Bob McMurray made for an interesting buildup. You do get to watch the Grand Prix preview show on SKY, but it's not the same. Pity you're not in Christchurch, you would have been welcome to come over and watch it.

I found last season great because Honda were doing so well... that and Jensen's first win of course. This season is still interesting with L Hamilton showing the goods so early on, F Alonso flustered, K Raikkonnen somehow managing to get a Ferrari to fail on him (his luck followed him from McLaren)... and P Massa stealing the show. I'll keep watching

yeah going to SKY sucked but i believe its better cause you didn't get to see the full qualifying on one

I used to be quite into F1 when I lived in the UK, but then it got too hard to watch.

It's main problem is one that it shares with the America's cup: The races themselves are just a quick snapshot of how the teams are actually doing. The interesting part is in the different approaches the teams have taken towards the problem of winning races and to see how they are doing. Of course, this 'backstory' is really hard to get right on TV coverage because mostly they show the start of the race, the middle, and the end. Enlightened TV coverage, that's what we need.

Like the last race? I used to watch it closely, but since the last rule changes and driver reshuffles/retirements I've sorta lost the enthusiasm.

Still keep up with the results, and have been half-pie following Superbikes and MotoGp, but reall been too busy with other things lately.

My brother works for Mclarens in England and yes they are please at the moment but not getting to carried away as still a rookie and may cost them big in repaire before the end of the season

Have been for years, I watch most races live regardless of time
I have been to a few in OZ, but one day hope to get to Monaco

I cant wait until the movie comes out about Bruce and the Mclaren team

Eh... Rouen was a great track. Big fan of 1960s F1, I saw a Lotus 43 in the flesh when I was a youngster and was sold after that. While I was still in my computer-gaming days a brilliant game called Grand Prix Legends came out featuring the 1967 F1 season, had the full old-style Nürburgring, Rouen, old-style Monaco etc. Very cool for a young geek.

Was never really into bikes for years and years, always a car guy, still am really. Been a Ferrari fan since I was a wee one, was most pleased when Schui joined up and started winning some races (eventually) Went to the Melbourne GP twice, no MotoGP bike can beat that sound. Maybe an RC166... but nothing can beat that

Of late the racing's been getting better. This season seems to be shaping up pretty nicely. Wish Honda would sort things out, as I'm rather partial to Honda motor racing, on two wheels and four. They have a history of doing interesting things.

I had my hopes pinned on Kimi, but Massa is actually doing very well. Either has a good shot, I should think.

I was a huge F1 fanboy until this year.
Just had enough of the processional racing and politics in it.
As much as I hated Schumi, I feel that a something is missing this year from the series, and its probably him and all of his controversial circumstances that true or untrue that follow him around.

Some of the pay drivers in F1 now are bad, and for F1 to be held up as having the best racing drivers in the world.............pffft!
