Uncle Helen and her Biatch Cullen have decided we have too much money, so we should pay another 10c/litre for petrol.

I know I have too much.
I keep trying to think of more ways I can give some money to that hard -uck story, the New Zealand government.

wow another 10c a litre, Yay to live in Auckland and Wellington.
Limited effect on riders, but a bit of a blow for the SUV drivers. User pays.
The new regional fuel taxes won't happen overnight. They can only be claimed by the two respective Regional Councils after public consultation over which projects they may be necessary to fund and, following that, after a case is made to the Minister. And to a maximum of 10 cents a litre.
Given Auckland's proven inability to think regionally it may be some time before a regional fuel tax appears up there. Any such tax in Wellington will possibly happen as a response to objectives outlined in an upcoming Regional Land Transport Strategy.

Lets just hope this petrol tax actually gets used on roading and transport unlike the current petrol tax that was supposed to get used on roading and transport........
the higher of price the gas the better... you ride bikes for a reason remember.
10c a litre equates to just over $1.70 extra per fill for a biker... have a cry - just because you've now lost that money you use to spend on a chocolate bar... shit maybe not having that bar will cause you to lose weight and get better fuel economy!
On a serious note... its still better if the prices go up, cagers get pissy that they can't afford to pay for their gas so they don't drive as much, take the bus etc... ok so its not what really will happen at 10c a litre. Just keep your fingers crossed that the money goes to improving roads and providing better public transport.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.
Hey, after reading that news-post, I realised something... I don't live in Auckland or Wellingtonhahahahaha
up to 10c a litre - Bummer![]()
Suppose it might make more cagers take up motorcycling
