Wgtn Curry Night 09/09/04: photos posted here

    .
    .

Shit, wouldn't you know it - I woke up late this mng so only have a couple of minutes to do a write-up ("Phew" do I hear you say??!!)

I don't have any photos but I know there were a couple of cameras there so I'm sure some photos will get posted.

Well, what a bloody great night.

Almost 40 of us turned up (if I counted correctly).

Firstly, thanks to Cajun for telling us ages ago he was coming to Wgtn this week, and secondly thanks to Jimbo (happy b/day for today mate!) for organising the Bundi night.

I've tried to remember who was there - pse correct me if I forget anyone.

Velox and two mates (Nick and Hayden, non KBers but they have promised to join!)
    Mangell6
    F5Dave and soon-to-be-Mrs F5Dave
    Deano and Mrs Deano
Johann (People's Hero) and Davina (non KBers)
    MarkNZ
    Fzzerman
    Celtic SL
    Jazbug5
    Her B_4
    Jimbo and Mrs Jimbo
    Jim2
    Matthewt
Paul in NZ and Mrs PINZ
    SVS and Mrs SVS
    EddieB and Mrs EB
    White Trash and Mrs WT
    LooseBruce
    Cajun
    Stonechucker
Bruce Corkill (a KBer but has never posted a thing - I'll give him some stick to get posting, broken arm and all)
    Hayden (I don't think he's a KBer)
    Shafted and Mrs Shafted

And I'm sure there were a couple of others but the memory eludes me and I have to get ready for work......

Oh yeah - and me and Hamish.

Once again, a great night. Someone else can take over now.

    "Quiet in here!"

    My head hurts..........again.........

Bloody good night people, very nice to meet a few of the KBers I hadn't all ready.

I'm gonna go have a wee sleep in my office now 'cause it's the Datsuns concert tonight and I'm not ready.....

It was on the 9/09/04 actually ;o)

Yeah thanks Jimbo750 for organising it all, what a great night! It was nice to meet some new people and get to know some others a bit better. :spudwave:

About half of us went over to Room with a Q to play pool after dinner and that was fairly entertaining as well.

    Cool night & H.Bday Jimbo.

Good to meet a bunch of youse guys & the only time my ‘head caved in’ was excavating my bowels this morning. Goodbye extra hot Chicken Jalfreese or whatever it was.

Did have this dreadful nightmare (really) about being the last person there & having to pay a whole bunch of extra money. Hope that wasn’t the case, -man they got pissey in the dream. I paid for all mine though.

Pool shot of night: Johan Bruns on the black from close range using the extra reach stick thing, beautiful

Yeah - good to put names to faces (can't remember everyone's real names though sorry!) Decent kai, decent chats, and decent folks all round! Cheers Jimbo for organising it!

I've changed the date in my heading post, but it won't change in the "forum topics" list. I guess people will get the general idea.....

Yea, great night out and great to put some faces to names. Still have to laugh at the look on the other customers faces when told "Excuse me but we've all met on an internet site and...." They're looks had desperate and dateless written all over them

Big up's to Jimbo and Deano for the organisation.

Got rid of my meal soon after getting home, but I'm not convinced that that was anymore to do with the curry than the Guiness

And I'm with LooseBruce.... that shot of Yo's was a gem, I think he even preceded it with "I can't miss it from this range!"

That was a laugh, I can still hear him saying he'll use the reach stick so he doesn't miss the black. And what does he do ....
