    Hampton Downs Moto X meeting.

Hey guys n gals I made a smartassed comment to a fellow KBer who had booked and paid for a trackday at HD this weekend.
Basicly I said Hey unless you have a MX bike theres no way youll be rideing there.
Then I had possibly a dumb mental flash.
HEY why not a couple of MX meetings at HD as it stands right now??
With the 2-3.0m layer of mud and clay thats there to compact the track theres no way a MX bike will damage the track foundation surface. The tracks laid out barring a few extra whoops that a bulldozer could most likely organise in an hour or so.
THe publicity and small income it could create might be worthwhile.
    Just a thought here

I seriously doubt they'd allow us to do it, apart from whether it would damage the track or not imagine the red tape OSH would put you through to run an MX track through a construction site.

Having said that, if you can organise it - sign me up! Keen as

    Scott411,

Do you know the area, between the apartments and the main road.

It is an area they said they were flattening for a Kart track.

I was talking to someone about HD in general the other day and they said they had been told the developers might consider running a MX down there.

It would be a clay version of Mercer.

Might be worth a phone call

Jim, i am a bit ahead of you there, still very much in the devlopment stage, and teh kart guys are not adverse to runningn supermoto either,

motocross on a flat bulldozed track is pretty boring, and buliding a full track is expensive, and you need a watering system on the clay we have around here, i spose we could runa flat track type event maybe but no one has bikes set up for it but no one really does that over here yet,

speaking of hampton downs tho, what is your thoughts on the rumours that the office may be moved there?

They're putting down lime and cement stabilisation at the moment. Sealing will be very soon.

Those who have paid for the early dates will have first dibs on the first available days (should the track not make it in time).
