More interesting has been the debate that has been created by both the 675 and the current superbike series. The theory is that since a four can spin faster it's "fair" that they should be smaller. However, the superbike series has shown Ducati's holding only slightly fewer RPM than their four cylinder bretheren, giving rise to a debate about whether or not they should be allowed larger displacement at all. I think a similar argument can be applied to the 675 which might not have the stratospheric rev limit of (say) an R6, but has no problem spinning up, either.

See my earlier post, they is no way the "675" style triple could spin quicker as its at the top end of piston speed as it is due to its squareness........

Well Carl Fogerty will be running the first official MV team in World Superbikes for many years in the 2008 Season.
Wether he can get them winning will be interesting, but sounds like a fair bit of money will be involved.
    Masterbike is bullshit.
Seems every decent bike mag has a different winner. Last time I looked, the GSX-R 1K K7 was best, as was the R1 07, as was the CBR1000RR 07......if you read more than one magazine you'd notice!
People pick the bikes on personal choices, not if they happen to win a comparo.

WTF's that got to do with anything.
English mags kick the ass of anything downunder. They get the bikes before us and test the shit out of them. Not all mags are the same though, Fastbikes is pretty inferior with rubbish journalism and some of the most skewed tests ever.
At least the poms actually get the bikes to test with seemingly no ulterior motive via the manufacturers.
When did you see a holden or a ford take a beating in a struggling australasian magazine.........

    Yeah mate
I prefer the looks of the R1 though, but the Suzuki will always be more of the hooligan.......which is why I wanted it.

OK, while you're clarifying a few thing i'd be interested in how you reach the conclusion that Masterbike is "bullshit"? It seemed to me that it has to be one of the best ways of doing a bike test ie: varying skill levels, different nations and all ages etc...
