mudboy and AJ's VMCC round 1

we drove.. for hrs and hrs and hrs..
we talked shit at Jaz's place
we watched bikes being pulled apart and rebuilt in Jaz's garage..
    we talked shit
we got to bed early... ( some say i snored..bull shit i say)
we got to track nice and early..

    then the fun started...
we got our bikes going, rechecked tyre presures..
and we were off to the "sight the track" ride... noticed that luke "sighting" consitsed of...going as fast as he could....
got in just to be told that the street stocks and 125 were out for the qualifing...
ummm dad.. i need gas, comes the call... shit.. wasn't that what you checked before?...
oh well who cares? we have 10min... put about 4lts in and away we went..
and still had to wait on the dummy grid!... that was good, gave me a chance to tell luke that the track looked cold and to take it easy for a couple of laps till tyres warmed up..... yes yes i know he said!...

half a lap later his knee was down....... smart arse!

i just tried to keep him in sight..( my aim of the meet) or atleast be on the same lap!

came in after the session to find that we had qualified next to each other!
to a statement from luke of...

"that was a good race".... hahahahahaha nearly fell over laughing....
just HAD to tell him that it was "ONLY" qualifing... hahahahha

    first race:

i got the jump on nearly all of the feild!!! finding myself in amoungst the GP bikes!!! ... WTF?

wow.. this is fun.. then turn one comes into sight... slowing down due to cold tyres... and small balls.... to the sight of lots passing, who cares i thought, i'm not gona fall on first corner because of cold tyres... let the 125's with their tyre warmers get a good start ... to the sight of luke going around the OUTSIDE of 5-6 of them (125's)with his knee down .....

lucky for them (125) they were gone before the next corner... but it looked good from where i was...
and for me it was a "trying to keep luke in sight" race... all the while keeping an ear out for the 125's.. 2 of them buzzed me once... one on both side....yer i know who you are.....

i had so much fun i even got the peg down on turn one... shit???? still cleaning leathers!

i over took one person.. and manged to wooble enough for them to back off..

luke finished 0.33 seconds behind a guy on a 250 on 7th place
    i was in 8th place

in the 150's luke was 4th and i was 5th.!!!

    who to thank?

mel for being brave enough to pull the pin!

    greame B.. for gearing info
steph .. for giving it a go!!! and putting up with us!!
jaz's... for the floor space!! ( well her mum actully, for putting up with luke beating up avalon on sat, night...)

avalon .. for beating luke where it counted... on the track... and punching him on the shoulder... he needs more beating like that!

get well soon all the ones that got hurt!

    what a ride so far!!!!
