(KID ROCK)........And to see a chick on a Harley.....IS and FEELS as HOT as her little bad ass looks on it!!!!........If you don't have one.....Ya gotta try and get one!......Have you noticed that Harley riders don't even wave to other riders when passing if they aren't rideing a Harley as well........I think that is kinda mean....But it is a well understood thing in the States.......If ya ain't on a Harley....Ya just pass em!....ha!

I can'r speak for other Harley riders but the reason I don't wave from my V-rod is the same as the reason I didn't wave all those years ago from my RV90 or my RV125 or my GT280 or my GS750 or any of my bikes... I like to keep both hands on the bars :-)

I generally acknowledge other riders with an upward tilt of my helmet but I dunno how widespread that gesture is recognized...

I notice it and a few HD riders do this. Have noticed that some of them nod before I waved (wasn't gonna cause I didn't think they would wave) but I waved once I saw the nod.

ooooHHH.....I am SO scared of that TARGET FIXATION thing......I think I am going to be doing that at some point.......I seem to do it already.........Like at the local pubs when I see a Full drink up on the bar........Ha!.......Not the same fixation huh?.....But I think I just might have the tendency regardless......Any wisdom anyone?..on how to avoid such situations?

Can I briefly interject this HD mutual stimulation thread to say how refreshing it is to read a HD lovers thread. I wish more of this went on here.

Yeah I take the piss out of anything that is outside of what is considered by many as the 'norm' (HD's Guzzis and such like), but then I own a relatively common off the shelf Jap bike

    Great read

Now, can someone please get me all excited and start talking about Buells?

    If you insist

What would probably go very well with sportbike riders is the Revolution engine off the V-rod stuffed into one of Erik's frames... the closest you can currently get to that is the introduced-in-2005 VRSCR. Had the opportunity to ride one when on biz in the UK. Hated the position as much as I love the V-rod riding position - which is very much cruiser - too many years of punishing my knees and wrists have left me not at all comfortable in the sportbike position or anything like it. The engine is "only" 120hp but in the light contents of the VRSCR frame and mechanicals, picks up very fast. Even the 115 hp V-rod I ride will lift it's front wheel when I do not mean too when I wind on the power quickly... so, ask Erik and Willie G to make you a CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) VRSCR special with the Revo engine in the Firebolt frame...

I got a 04 Road King 2 months ago and have done 5000 ks on it so far. A big percentage of my riding is in the cold and wet, and it's great fun. Congrats on the Wide Glide.

I have had my Sporty for 5 years. Always wanted an HD but never had the bucks for a BT. Besides, I turned it into something cool so......

The only thing I don't like about HD's is all the imperial stuff on them!

I'd rather work on metric bikes - much easier.

'Taint imperial. That's different again. Found on old Briddish iron. harleys are yank, so it's SAE (AF UNF UNC ). Imperial is BSF WHIT BA and that weird cycle thing BSC .
