Suggestion - of car to buy

With a budget of $2K or less, why not get a good old reliable Nissan Bluebird, we got one cheap off a mate and they're good wee economic cars. Mileage I believe isn't an issue with them, they've got a camchain instead of a belt which is much better. Have a look on Trademe - there's usually loads, good thing about a common car, lots of parts etc.

    Anyway that's my 2cents worth.

    Good luck with the search

You can't go passed a Corolla.

Not a fund of wisdom on cars but several of my friends have Corollas. They seem to go forever and be cheap to fix.Or you could go in a different direction altogether. How about a Toyota ute. Top gear couldn't destroy one and you can carry yer bike on the back if nec.
