I miss the great american hotdog company carts that used to be around everywhere.

Yeah - proper burgers with real egg, beetroot, and freshly sliced tomato...and an actual bread bun that is not 80% sugar.

Did anyone see the 21 year old Maccas burger on Campbell live last night? Unbelievable

It could be a good venue for a future KB lunch...

    Sounds like a plan.

There are a good covering of buttie wagons in the UK. Usually in a layby on a main road, and a marvellous bacon sandwich and mug of tea to be had.

Mcdonalds brought them out and refuse to open them again

i have this discussion with people sometimes that Maccas are in breach of the agreement that the brought GP for and you could take them to court for it and it would be a waste of time cause as soon as maccas got a wiff of things going to court they would open a small GP in some small town like Pokeno

If i'm not correct can someone by all means correct me

The White Lady was a real institution when I were a lass out and about in the small hours....nothing beats a feed at heaven only knows what time. Best visit was when I was on night shift working at Greenlane back in the
70's, a mate had the same break as me and shot off into town for some salt and vinegar chips.......yuuummm. She was gone forever, thought she'd had an accident and was wondering how to explain her absence to her supervisor, when I heard her car zoom back into the carpark. No chips though.......hmmm take my break and go up to Coronary Care to find my chips, she was so late back she went right back to work, me I grabbed the newspaper packet and headed back to my ward. Met my supervisor on the stairs, now I ask you how do you disguise the smell of salt and vinegar chips!!!

She just smiled and said I had better eat them before they got cold!

Turns out the Pie Cart had moved so it took her some time to locate and park etc........ they won awards for their pies too as I recall

In Gisborne we had an institution called "The Highway Diner". (Not sure if it's still there, probably been shunted away).
Was one of two places that used to be open for a good Kai after the pubs had closed, so all pissed people would eventually congregate there. It was a little caravan by the wharf with a picnic table out front. The food was fantastic, but then again, I never ate from there sober, so who really knows!
