Found this in the newspaper today;
“May 24 (Reuters) - Lightning struck a school in southwest Hamilton killing seven children and injuring 40 pupils and teachers. The accident happened during a rain storm.
All the injured, including two teachers, were taken to hospital where five were in serious condition,”
Actually you should exchange Hamilton for BEIJING China. But It still happened, they were someone’s children.
This event only made it into a couple of NZ papers, an artical about 3 inches by 2 inches in size. While all the mainstream papers had a huge picture of the foreign minister of Australia visiting George Bush !!!!!
I can’t believe our media is that sick it rates the death of all those children as uninteresting to the general public, thinking we’d be more interested in Australian USA boring shyte.
The rest of the small article was even worse; telling about five other children who were found dead beneath a mango tree in Cameroon following a lightning strike. They were killed by a lightning bolt while gathering firewood in a forest in north-eastern Cameroon.
The children, aged between 10 and 12 years old, went to forage for fuel in the outskirts of Ngaoundere, the capital of Adamawa province, during a storm on Sunday. They were found the next day in the morning by a shepherd.
How horrid – can you imagine the pain of the families in that village.
I wonder who owns our media now days, and why they are so keen to promote America over and above real news?
