like I was telling you, you have the skills, both profesional and personal to take on a job.
A big reason people find it hard to get work is they put up "mental" barriers that stop them from even appying to the compaines.
Companies KNOW your a student, they know you don't know anything and they will be willing to train you. Trust me, you have nothing to fear in appling for jobs at all. Listen to what your brain says and then do the oppersit 
The trick is to get on with the people at interviews, or even somone you are talking to (might not be the boss etc) and they often say "we don't need anyone here currently but my mate down at xxxvet (hehe) is looking, I will put the word in for you...." Ive gotten jobs like that before.

Also go to the unitec carrers and employment center, get them to make a CV and cover letter for you (free of charge) they have heaps of info on how to impress your future boss.
